These little guys are already pretty cute, even left ‘as is’. The had red cardinals also, but I passed on those. I always associate cardinals with Christmas, and I was wanting to use them for year round decor.
I spray painted them white.
Then gave then a quick once over with some Ralph Lauren tobacco glaze, to bring out the detail. The one in the front shows how it looks BEFORE I dab off the excess glaze.
Now they’re perfectly SHABBY CHIC!
Found these cutie patooties in the dollar section at Michael’s craft store. The pedestal display for them was made from gluing (with e6000 adhesive) a Dollar Tree coffee mug to a coordinating thrift store dinner plate.
I didn’t even realize that the tops opened up until I got them home! I grabbed up a bunch of them just because I thought they were cute for decorating with. Would make fun little party favors too, filled with some sweet treats!
Kind of odd color combinations. But that could easily be remedied by slipping on a different color fluted paper cupcake liner.
I thought they needed a little oOoomph!
Glitter to the rescue! I just brushed some tacky glue on the tops and sprinkled with glitter that looks just like sugar sprinkles.
With glitter on the left; without on the right. Lookin’ good enough to eat!
How cute are these little candy shaped , CHOCOLATE SCENTED candles?!?!? Far too cute to burn. And they smell WONDERFUL without burning them.
Perfect size for a small pretty vintage plate with a cloche top; which is actually an inverted votive candle holder, also from DT.
And the cute little bird glued on top (I used e6000 adhesive) from DT too!
Here’s a picture of the whole assortment. Wouldn’t it be fun to fill a vintage heart shaped Valentine candy box with these?
More on display in my space at Stars, on assorted pedestal stands made from vintage glassware.
You could even ‘dress them up a little more by putting them in a pretty fluted paper cup!
BIG display at the spring craft show.
I can only HOPE that this is not one of those ‘one time wonders’ that they get in once and never again. Would love to seem them the first of the year with their Valentines stock.
This is really GOOD stuff. More like what you’d find at a high-end store, and for a LOT more than a dollar! That’s one full package shown above. There were different colors; natural (shown) green and I forget what else because I only bought those two.
Just the right amount to fill a small container. I spritz mine with some fragrance oil to use as room freshener.
They are sold in these clear cello bags.
